Mr. C. P. Bothra is a veteran in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, having spent 47 years in the business, with 41 as the Managing Director and co-owner of Medreich Limited.

In 2015, Medreich was sold to Japanese company Meiji Seika Pharma Co., Ltd., marking the first 100% takeover by a Japanese firm in India as well as one of its biggest acquisitions in the country. Soon after, he set up his venture called Lyrus Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, a research and technology-driven global pharmaceutical company operating out of Bangalore.

Lyrus comprises 80 scientists and 40 support professionals with extensive experience in all facets of pharmaceutical development; Lyrus specialises in developing Rx drugs, new combinations, differentiated and OTC products.

Mr. Bothra also serves as the Chairman of Stabicon Life Sciences Pvt Ltd – a Commercial Quality Control lab with Extensive Stability Services.

Stabicon a Contract Research Support Organisation, also focuses on Nutraceuticals and Natural Products. The company's innovation department focuses on fresh ideas and products too.

He also serves as Chairman of Trust Chemists & Druggists Limited - a South Indian pharma retail chain.

Mr. Bothra is also the Founder and Managing Trustee of Bothra Foundation. Bothra Foundation provides free primary healthcare to around 20,000 patients and free palliative home care service with the support of Hospice Trust.
